No.9 El Toro 69, Laguna Hills 49--Giuliana (six assists, seven steals) and Gioconda Mendiola each scored 19 points for visiting El Toro (18-2). Shannon Owens scored 23 points for the Hawks.
Santa Ana Valley 37, Anaheim 36--Santa Ana Valley led, 35-27, with 2 minutes left when visiting Anaheim’s 9-2 run--capped by a three-point basket by Darlen Tu’ua--pulled the Colonists within one point with five seconds left. Ana Velazquez had eight points, nine steals and seven assists for Santa Ana Valley.
