Free: Historic Building --Just Move It Soon
- Share via
One of this city’s historic buildings will be demolished if someone doesn’t step forward to claim it and take it away from its Main Street home.
City officials are giving away the two-story Siemson building to anyone who can relocate it in the next 60 days. Otherwise, it will be flattened so construction of a new building can begin at 1818 N. Main St.
The city’s Redevelopment Agency acquired the building through condemnation proceedings to clear the way for the new structure, which will house a nonprofit organization that helps needy youths.
Redevelopment Agency officials said they hope someone will take the building off their hands so it can be preserved. It has commercial space on the first floor and two apartment units on the second.
Those interested are asked to call (714) 647-5360.
