Forum to Focus on Commercial District

Residents and business owners will discuss retail business and entertainment in the city’s commercial district at a city-sponsored forum Wednesday.
Representatives from nine homeowner groups and nine members of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce will participate, said Mayor Les Bronte, who called the meeting.
Bronte said business and residential groups “have looked upon each other as the enemy, and we need to stop that.”
He said the discussion is likely to be the first of several addressing community concerns.
The forum is open to the public, but observers may not participate in the discussion.
The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive, and will be televised live on the city’s cable station, Channel 10.
