Room Revenue Nearly Triples for Sunstone

Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. said total room revenue for the second quarter nearly tripled to $51.9 million from $17.9 million a year ago. The San Clemente-based real estate investment trust said the completion of $527.2 million of hotel acquisitions and investments during the last 12 months boosted second quarter room revenue. Same-unit sales were up 4.3% per available room, the company said.
