Multiple Injuries Cited in Death

An 82-year-old woman killed after her car plunged over a 200-cliff died from multiple injuries, an official for the Ventura County medical examiner’s office said Tuesday.
Mary Jane Neagle of Ventura apparently got lost early Monday night on Lincoln Drive in east Ventura, a dead-end street, and was attempting to turn around when she lost control of her car, authorities said. The car went over a curb and plunged down a steep cliff.
After paramedics hoisted Neagle up to the road, she was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where doctors worked for an hour to try to save her.
