New Miss O.C. USA a Veteran Volunteer

Fourth-generation Huntington Beach resident Janell Carlson was recently named Miss Orange County USA and will represent the area in the September Miss California USA competition.
Carlson earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communications from San Diego State and works as an associate account executive in an Irvine advertising and public relations firm.
For more than 13 years, Carlson has volunteered with Royal Family Kids’ Camp for abused and neglected children and she hopes to create awareness of the camp through her role as Miss Orange County USA.
