Stockton Sends Calabasas to Victory, 10-4

Rick Stockton was impressive with his bat and arm Tuesday for the Calabasas American Legion team in a 10-4 victory over Van Nuys Grant in a District 20 game at Grant High.
Stockton, who recently completed his freshman year at Moorpark College, had three hits, including a double and a home run, and three runs batted in. He pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn his first save for Calabasas (3-1).
Calabasas starter Tom Lookabill (1-0) allowed two hits and one unearned run in four innings, striking out four and walking one. Grant dropped to 1-3.
North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 6, North Hollywood 4--Matt Thayer hit a three-run home run in a four-run fourth inning for North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (1-3) in a District 20 game at North Hollywood High.
Michael Frost (1-1) pitched a seven-hitter for North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, allowing no earned runs and striking out eight. His team committed eight errors.
Conejo 6, Oxnard 1--Home runs from John Smith, Ryan Donahue and Brent Moderhak paced Conejo in a District 16 game at Oxnard High.
Smith had two hits, including his home run in the fourth inning and Matt Rogers pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks for Conejo.
