SANTA CLARITA — Sheriff’s homicide investigators have declined to file charges against a South-Central Los Angeles gang member who was arrested last week on suspicion of murdering a 15-year-old Fontana boy in the parking lot of Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Daniel Vega was killed and his 14-year-old cousin and a 37-year-old woman were injured on April 8 when a gunman fired into a crowd after a dispute between groups of blacks and Latinos. Authorities said all three victims were uninvolved bystanders.
Antwan Robinson, 18, was arrested in Los Angeles last Thursday.
“No charges are being filed at this time, although they may be in the future,” said Det. Joe Holmes of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “He’s still under investigation and we’re also investigating other people.”
Robinson remains in custody at Men’s Central Jail on unrelated burglary charges, Holmes said.
