CalComp Predicts No Profits for Fiscal 1998

CalComp Technology Inc. said Tuesday that it doesn’t expect to report operating profits in fiscal 1998. The Anaheim maker of computer graphics peripherals said it is experiencing production delays in connection with the ramp-up of the manufacturing process of its CrystalJet-based wide-format digital imaging printers.

For the year ended Dec. 31, 1997, the company posted a loss of $75.2 million, or $1.60 a share, on revenue of $200.2 million.
