This Division I-A game features two of the county’s finest playmakers, Marina’s Natalie Nakase (13.3 points, 8.7 assists) and San Clemente’s Debby Caine (5.2 assists, 44% from the three-point arc), and two 5-foot-11 centers who have had excellent seasons, San Clemente’s Colleen Turnbull (15.2 points, 8.9 rebounds) and Marina’s Chanda McLeod (12.9 points, 9.1 rebounds). Both teams can apply intense pressure, and neither team is unusually affected by the press. One of Marina’s best performances of the season came Jan. 3, when it defeated San Clemente, 77-68. Both are in their first title game.
