The Lancers were 6-10-3 a month ago, but they have have won their last nine games, four in the Division II playoffs. They have already knocked off fourth-seeded Woodbridge, 1-0, and top-seeded Riverside Poly, 1-0. Now they go after their third seeded team and their first section title since 1987. Sunny Hills Coach Mike Schade had never been past the quarterfinals in nine seasons. Sunny Hills might have a difficult time shutting down San Marcos, which has averaged more than two goals a game during the playoffs and scored twice on a stingy Foothill defense in the semifinals.
