Santa Ana Freeway Ramps Reopened Today
Beginning today, commuters traveling on the northbound Santa Ana Freeway will again be able to use the Chapman Avenue exit.
The offramp has been closed since November for construction to prepare it for the widening of the freeway, Caltrans officials said.
Access from the westbound Garden Grove Freeway to the northbound Santa Ana Freeway will also reopen today.
The ramp improvements and freeway widening are part of the $1.1-billion project on the Santa Ana Freeway through North County. The project, which began in December 1996, is targeted for completion in 2000.
