Ulfuebrand Paces SCC in Men’s Tennis

Joaquim Ulfuebrand won at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2, to help Southern California College defeat Westmont, 6-1, in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s tennis match Tuesday at SCC.
Stefan Johansson won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3, for the Vanguards (9-3), who swept the six singles matches.
In nonconference women’s tennis:
Southern California College 7, Dominican 2--Debbie Fultz defeated Dominican’s Erika Riedel, 6-1, 6-4, for host SCC (6-8). Fultz and Carin Crawford defeated Riedel and Maria Van Wambeke in doubles, 8-2.
In Golden State Athletic Conference baseball:
Westmont 6, Concordia 4--Concordia lost its third consecutive conference game. Westmont led after 4 1/2 innings, 4-0, but Concordia cut the deficit to one with two runs in the bottom of the fifth and a run in the sixth.
Matt Richter and Chris Champlin each had three hits for the Eagles (8-15, 4-6).
