Barbeques Galore Ltd.: The Irvine retailer of barbecues and barbecue accessories said net income for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 totaled $2.8 million, or 61 cents a share, 12% higher than the $2.5 million, or 55 cents a share, for the corresponding period a year earlier. Sales increased 4% to $43.9 million from $42.3 million. For the year, net income rose 79% to $3.4 million, or 73 cents a share, from $1.9 million, or 40 cents a share, for the prior fiscal year. Sales advanced 12% to $131.3 million from $117.1 million. The company launched its initial public stock offering in November.
