PORT HUENEME — A Studio City man was rescued from the waters off Hollywood Beach on Sunday after his 25-foot boat capsized.
Nichan Arabmn was plucked from the ocean by the Channel Islands Harbor Patrol around 2:35 p.m, said Harbor Patrol Officer Allen Rich.
The boat took on water and sank about 500 yards off shore. Arabmn stayed near the boat while his passenger, Terri Mellman, also of Studio City, swam safely to shore. Neither was injured.
The vessel eventually washed onto the beach and was removed Sunday evening, Rich said.
