“Major Art/Minor Artists,” an exhibit of artwork by elementary school students, opens Saturday at the Orange County Museum of Art’s South Coast Plaza gallery.
The free exhibit, which runs through June 21, features work by selected students in third through fifth grades in the Santa Ana Unified School District who have spent the year working with artists-teachers Helen Seigel and Cheryl Michelon.
The students, chosen for their artistic potential from regular, gifted and special education classes, worked in media ranging from oil pastels to clay to wood.
