Robey Theatre Plans Tribute to Robeson

Danny Glover will host the Robey Theatre Company’s centennial celebration of Paul Robeson on June 1 at 8 p.m. at Actors’ Gang Theatre in Hollywood.
Alfre Woodard and Brock Peters will also appear in the theatrical tribute to Robeson’s diverse accomplishments as an actor, athlete, singer and humanitarian.
The nonprofit Robey Theatre Company, based in Los Angeles, was founded by Glover and Bennet Guillory.
Proceeds will go to the Paul Robeson Scholarship Fund, administered through the Paul Robeson Cultural Center at Rutgers University. Tickets are $35.
