At the NCAA Far West Regional golf tournament:
UC Irvine tied for 11th--Conan Vitale shot par 72 and the Anteaters were tied for 11th after the first round in Tempe, Ariz. Vitale is tied for 18th. Teammate Mike Lawrence shot 74.
