Wildlife Sanctuary Is Seeking Logo Ideas
The San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary is holding a logo design contest open to adults and children of all ages.
The winning logo may be incorporated into signage at the sanctuary and in print materials. The winner will receive a $200 savings bond and honorary membership in the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary.
The sanctuary is the result of a 10-year effort to restore the largest freshwater wetlands in Southern California. The 300-acre marsh provides a feeding, migratory and nesting ground for more than 250 species of birds.
Situated in the heart of Irvine, the sanctuary acts as a living laboratory of natural history and ecology for students and teachers, and it offers a natural environment for visitors seeking a quiet haven, officials said. The area also includes 10 miles of trails for walkers.
Logo entries should be submitted by July 1 to: Irvine Ranch Water District, Community Relations Department, 15600 Sand Canyon Ave., Irvine, CA 92618-3102. All entries become the property of the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Information: (949) 453-5500.
