A driver was killed in an apparent car-to-car shooting, authorities said Wednesday.
The body of Eric Martin, 31, of Paramount was pulled from a gray Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Tuesday night after crashing into a fence on Alondra Boulevard. The victim had been shot several times, sheriff’s deputies said.
“The way the suspect’s car approached [Martin], it was either a shooting of mistaken identity or the suspect knew the victim,” Sheriff’s Investigator David Castillo said.
Deputies said they had no suspects. Shot are believed to have been fired from a vehicle traveling east on Alondra Boulevard about 11:50 p.m., investigators said.
Martin, who was not in possession of a weapon, was pronounced dead at the scene, Castillo said. Anyone with information is asked to call (213) 890 5500.
