Woman, 89, Robbed by Purse Snatcher

A roller-skating purse snatcher targeted an 89-year-old woman this weekend, surprising her as she walked home from a market.
Sheriff’s Department officials say the unidentified man approached the woman from behind, grabbing her purse.
The robbery occurred about 3:20 p.m. Saturday near the 1100 block of Landsburn Circle, and the robber was last seen at the south end of Instone Court.
The robber was described as white, 18 to 20 years old, with brown hair and a slender build.
He was wearing a tan sweatshirt and dark pants.
Anyone with information can call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-8255 or 385-8255.
Officials are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to a conviction.
