Air Quality

Re “Air Quality Takes Turn for the Worse in ‘98,” Oct. 29.
This article left me puzzled, as it contained information that reflects Ventura County as a whole but not for individual communities.
Is Camarillo’s air as contaminated as Simi Valley’s? I cannot believe that would be true. If you are trying to make a point by showing such figures in the anticipation of garnering more stringent action, you succeeded. But having left the really contaminated San Fernando Valley air to come here for a much more cleaner air, I do not swallow this line.
In my travels throughout Ventura, there definitely is a distinct difference between Simi, Thousand Oaks and the communities of Oxnard, Camarillo, Ventura, etc.
I would like to see another article that points out these differences.
