LOS ANGELES — Alleged serial killer Glen Rogers pleaded not guilty Thursday to a charge of murdering a woman at a Van Nuys apartment in 1995.
Rogers, wearing a jail jumpsuit and bound by chains, appeared relaxed as he entered his plea in Los Angeles Superior Court. He was recently extradited from Florida, where he was in prison awaiting execution for another slaying.
Authorities in Los Angeles allege that Rogers killed Sandra Gallagher and then set her body on fire. He is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing next month.
Rogers is also accused of slayings in Mississippi and Louisiana.
