W.C. Redmon Co. is recalling about 1,800 cradles after reports that the cribs’ legs can come loose and cause them to tip, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The “Cuddle Me Close” wooden cradle, for infants up to 3 months old, attaches to an adult bed to keep the baby within arm’s reach. But the crib’s four wooden legs can come loose or separated. The company has received 50 reports of the legs coming loose and two reports of the cradle tipping. No injuries were reported. Infant product catalogs and stores such as Babies R Us carried the cradles for about $149 beginning in February. Consumers should call Redmon collect at (765) 473-6683 Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST for free replacement legs, or write to the company at P.O. Box 7, Peru, IN 46970.
