Re “O.C. Minorities Upbeat About Future,” Sept. 28:
All those who say that Orange County is being ruined are absolutely correct. But it isn’t the recent immigrants and minorities who are causing it. Orange County’s demise began in the 1960s, when all those now complaining moved there to get away from L.A. In doing so they destroyed the county I recall: open spaces in Fountain Valley; an ocean you could actually see along PCH in Huntington Beach; no traffic jams between Tustin and San Juan Capistrano.
