Selby Schriber
Saddleback, Freshman
Golf
This is Schriber’s second time around as a college athlete. She played volleyball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the mid-70s. Now she is playing golf. Schriber, a 1974 graduate of Tustin High, shot an impressive two-over 73 at Oak Creek Golf Club last week to help the Gauchos beat Irvine Valley and Mt. San Antonio.
Water Polo
Melody Warren
* Golden West, freshman. She scored 23 goals as the Rustlers, the top-ranked team in the state, won five games.

Paul Tessier
Golden West, Sophomore
Football
Tessier, a wide receiver from Pacifica High, has become the go-to guy for the Rustlers. He set a Golden West single-game record for receptions with 14 Saturday during a 33-21 loss to Pasadena. He had 187 yards and a touchdown. Tessier has an Orange County-best 27 receptions through four games. He caught 30 passes in 10 games last season.
Soccer
Chris Whitworth
* Irvine Valley, freshman. He scored three goals as the Lasers split two games, including a 2-1 victory over OCC.
