Glendale 23, Burbank 12--Angelo Walker caught touchdown passes of 67 and eight yards from Carlos Gutierrez in the fourth quarter to give the Dynamiters (3-2) a come-from-behind victory at Burroughs High.
Walker, a senior wide receiver, caught nine passes for 129 yards and had a 63-yard punt return.
Gutierrez, a junior, completed 10 of 26 passes for 141 yards with two interceptions.
Glendale entered the fourth quarter trailing, 12-9. Burbank (1-4) fortunes turned when tailback Alan Gutierrez left the game midway through the third quarter because of a wrist injury. He rushed for 96 yards in 17 carries.
The Bulldogs took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on Jimmy Robles’ 40-yard interception return. Arpa Bahariance blocked a Glendale punt with 49 seconds left in the second quarter, setting up Scott Talamantes’ second field goal, a 45-yard that gave Burbank a 12-6 halftime lead.
