Labor Day Closings

Today marks the celebration of Labor Day, set aside to recognize labor’s contribution to the nation and the traditional end of summer. The following are closures and schedule changes for the day.
* Closed: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries and many businesses. MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules, and Metrolink will not operate.
* Trash: Regular Monday trash collection for Los Angeles city residents will be postponed until Tuesday.
