OUTLOOK
Patefield begins his second year at Capistrano Valley Christian with a new set of circumstances. Taking the job just a week before last season began, Patefield managed to guide the young team to a fourth-place finish in the Victory League. Capistrano Valley Christian is now a part of the Academy League, and has some experienced players at the skill positions to help make the transition. Patefield expects the Eagles to mesh nicely behind the leadership of Allen, a first-team all-league pick who has drawn the attention of several Division I-AA schools.
