Taft 38, Crenshaw 22--Receiver Lawrence Wallace made seven catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns for host Taft. He also intercepted three Crenshaw passes.
Crenshaw committed five first-half turnovers and Taft converted two of them into touchdowns on runs of six and 33 yards by Marquis Brignac.
Brignac carried 19 times for 114 yards and three touchdowns. His third score--a six-yard run--capped an eight-play, 59-yard drive that opened the second half.
Wallace’s first touchdown came on a 60 yard pass from receiver K.C. Bounds on a double-pass play. Wallace’s final score came on a three-yard pass from quarterback Brandon Hance.
Hance completed nine of 24 passes for 150 yards.
Taft (1-1) was up, 38-6, after three quarters.
Markus Green had nine catches for 187 yards and two touchdown from Crenshaw (1-1).
