Calabasas 14, Oak Park 7--A swarming Calabasas defense held Oak Park to 164 yards at Oak Park.
Calabasas (2-0) set the tone early when linebacker Mike Armacost intercepted a pass on Oak Park’s opening drive and caused a fumble on the Eagles’ second possession.
Coyote quarterback Dallas Enoch passed to tight end Dan Palmeri on an 81-yard touchdown play to put the Coyotes ahead, 14-0, midway through the fourth quarter. The reception capped a 93-yard drive, after a 66-yard punt by Oak Park’s Jesse Nicassio.
Enoch completed nine of 30 passes for 160 yards, as Calabasas’ offense sputtered most of the night.
The Eagles (1-1) scored with 1:22 left on a 34-yard pass play from Nate Elder to Eric Daley.
Matt Bernstein kicked field goals of 26 and 34 yards to give Calabasas 6-0 lead.
