Skid Row Mission to Mark Its 75th Anniversary

One of skid row’s oldest missions will celebrate its 75th anniversary today.
Serving about 500 meals each day, the Midnight Mission on Los Angeles Street has been a fixture for the “city’s poorest of the poor,” said mission spokeswoman Mary Barrow.
Six hundred people are expected to attend tonight’s dinner at the Biltmore Hotel, where a diverse group of guests will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clancy Imislund as managing director of the mission, Barrow said.
