The City Council decided to give the owner of the Felt Room, a billiard parlor and bar that had live music in violation of its conditional use permit, a second chance at its meeting last week. Joe Eyni, the proprietor of the Felt Room, admitted to having had live music such as rock and swing bands. After seven people testified in favor of Eyni, however, the council unanimously decided to put him on a probation for six months, during which time he will be allowed to operate the bar in the 6200 block of Garden Grove Boulevard but not to have live entertainment.
