Becoming the new student trustee for the Huntington Beach Union High School District is a welcome challenge to Rona Smith. Before the Huntington Beach High senior found out she was chosen to be the districtwide student representative in late June, Rona, 17, was also told she would be president of the California Scholarship Federation Club and a senior teacher for the Model United Nations program.
