* Pinkerton’s in Westlake Village named Fred Krift as its vice president of total quality management. Krift previously was senior quality consultant for the company. In his new role, Krift will oversee Pinkerton’s quality management initiatives, focusing on client satisfaction and other tasks.
Pinkerton’s, which was founded in 1850, provides uniformed security officers, investigations, consulting, business intelligence, security system integration, and employee selection and communications services.
* Pamela Kelty has been elected president of the Channel Counties chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants for 1999-2000.
Kelty is a senior manager at American Express Tax & Business Services in Westlake Village.
The local chapter is made up of 657 certified public accountants who specialize in a broad range of services, including business consulting, estate planning and accounting.
* Pat Sweeney has joined the California Manufacturing Technology Center as a senior consultant. Sweeney, formerly vice president of the Greater Oxnard Economic Development Corp., will be based at the center’s Ventura / Santa Barbara regional office in Thousand Oaks.
In his new position, Sweeney will assist manufacturers with site selection and facility expansion requirements, business strategic planning, work force development, and financial needs.
