Curiouser and Curiouser

Inspired by the success of its Altoids candy (you know, the ones that are “curiously strong”), Kraft Foods is gearing up for what Advertising Age describes as a feminine counterpart--a gourmet hard candy called La Vosgienne (In headline-ese: “Gal ‘toids”). These are fruit flavored and are packed in dainty metal tins. Kraft is obviously hoping for big things. Sales of Altoids were reported to be around $295 million last year, up 18% from the year before.
