Woman, 54, Killed When Car Runs Into Power Pole

An Encino woman died when her car struck a power pole early Wednesday, authorities said.
Miram Sophie Reichstein, 54, was southbound on Vanalden Avenue when her car went off the road about 1 a.m., said Officer David Hovey of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Traffic Division.
Her vehicle hit a pole on Vanalden south of Santa Rita Street, Hovey said. Reichstein was declared dead at the scene, he said, and investigators did not know the cause of the accident.
