Molestation Charge Sparks Victim Search

Fullerton police are looking for children who may have been victimized by a man arraigned Wednesday on a child molestation charge.
Authorities allege that Fernando Deliz, 67, met an 8-year-old girl at a children’s birthday party in Buena Park on June 24. After receiving her mother’s permission to take the girl to the store with him, Deliz took her to his Fullerton apartment and molested her, Sgt. Joe Klein said.
Three hours later, Deliz returned the girl to the party, he said.
The girl did not tell her mother of the molestation until June 27, at which time the mother informed police. The girl did not require medical treatment, police said.
Deliz is being held at Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
