THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

ANAHEIM

* Chamberlain Drive: Report of a robbery in the 10000 block at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday.

BREA

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported at 7:36 p.m. Monday.

* Imperial Highway at Kraemer Boulevard: A petty theft was reported at 7:43 p.m. Monday.

CYPRESS

* Katella Avenue: A ’79 Buick was reported stolen in the 6000 block at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday.

* Walker: A petty theft of a cell phone was reported in the 8000 block at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday.

* Garnet Avenue: A burglar jiggled and opened the back door to a residence in the 4000 block while an 11-year-old girl was home; reported at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday.

DANA POINT

* Ocean Bright: A robbery alarm in the 33000 block was triggered at 3:26 a.m. Tuesday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Slater Avenue: Someone stole a purse containing $1,150 from a woman at a restaurant in the 9900 block; reported at 9 a.m. Saturday.

FULLERTON

* Deerpark Drive: A ’94 Lebaron was reported stolen in the 1900 block at 3:53 p.m. Monday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Main Street: Report that a bouncer hit a man in the eye and choked him before forcing him out of a restaurant in the 100 block at 1:46 a.m. Saturday.

IRVINE

* Culver Drive at Portola Parkway: A bag of animal bones was reported found at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

* Hale Avenue: A check for $27,142.20 written on insufficient funds was reported in the 16800 block at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday.

* McGaw Avenue: A CD player, a gym bag, running shoes and change were stolen from a 1991 Nissan truck in the 2500 block; reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Oak Street at Pacific Coast Highway: An Anaheim man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday.

* Caminito Grande: A reckless driver was reported in the 22000 block at 5:50 p.m. Thursday.

* La Paz Road at Pacific Park Drive: A traffic hazard was reported at 10:36 p.m. Thursday.

* Mawson Drive: Deputies responded to three reports of a reckless driver in the 25000 block at 6:12 p.m. Thursday.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Aliso Creek Road: A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:32 a.m. Thursday.

LA HABRA

* South Beach Boulevard: A burglary from a common storage area was reported in the 700 block at 1:59 p.m. Monday.

LAKE FOREST

* Twig Street: A hit-and-run was reported in the 24200 block at 3:40 a.m. Saturday. When deputies stopped the driver, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.

LA PALMA

* Moody Street at Shirley Drive: A person was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at 2 a.m. Tuesday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Los Alamitos Boulevard: Someone shot out the windows of a business in the 11000 block; at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday.

* Orangewood Avenue: Report that six male juveniles used a baseball bat to break a window at a school in the 3500 block and tried to enter a classroom at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Pala: A burglary was reported in the 26000 block at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday.

* Zurita: An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 28000 block at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday.

ORANGE

* Loretta Drive: An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 12000 block at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday.

PLACENTIA

* Chapman Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday.

* Kraemer Boulevard: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday.

* Alta Street at Backs Lane: A reckless driver was reported at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday.

* Calle Felicidad: A robbery alarm in the 300 block was triggered at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday.

* Avenida Presidio: A robbery alarm in the 100 block was triggered at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday.

* Via Amapola: A robbery alarm in the 2000 block was triggered at 1:32 p.m. Tuesday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Paseo Sienna: A robbery alarm in the 27000 block was triggered at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday.

* Via Del Rey: A robbery alarm in the 25000 block was triggered at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday.

* Paseo Adelanto: A robbery alarm in the 32000 block was triggered at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday.

SEAL BEACH

* Main Street: Report of found property at 8:23 p.m. Sunday.

* Ocean Avenue: Report of vandalism at 6:14 a.m. Friday.

STANTON

* Beach Boulevard: Report of a burglary with a silent alarm in the 12000 block at 1:32 a.m. Tuesday.

* Santa Rosalia Street: A burglary was reported in the 11000 block at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Gwyneth Drive: Police advised several children to stop throwing chairs into the pool at their apartment complex in the 13100 block at 2:58 p.m. Sunday.

* El Camino Real: A white 1988 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the Tustin Marketplace in the 2900 block at 3:46 p.m. Sunday.

VILLA PARK

* Taft Avenue at Santiago Boulevard: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday.

* Brookhurst Street: Report of shots heard in the 15100 block at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Old Canal Road: A grand theft was reported in the 22000 block at 1:38 p.m. Tuesday.

* Yorba Linda Boulevard: Vandalism was reported in the 18000 block at 10:04 a.m. Monday.

OTHER COMMUNITIES

ALISO VIEJO

* Hollyoak: The hubcaps of a Honda Civic parked in the 24200 block were missing at 8:50 a.m. Monday.

* Indian Hills Road: A residence in the 25600 block was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday. The thief entered through the bathroom window and took jewelry from bedrooms.

* Night Heron Lane: Someone threw about three gallons of used motor oil at the front door of a residence in the 100 block at 9:50 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters were called to help clean up the oil.

FOOTHILL RANCH

* Easternay Drive: A burglary was reported in the 100 block at 11:54 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach and Santa Ana.
