Mitchell Suit

“L.A. Sued in Police Killing of Woman” (Aug. 3) failed to report on what Margaret Laverne Mitchell’s son, Richard Mitchell, who is suing Los Angeles for unspecified damages, was doing to find and help his 55-year-old homeless, mentally ill mother. I’d be curious to know how this loving son, who feels entitled to profit from her death, allowed his mother to become victim to the streets in the first place.
