In an effort to adhere to the Americans With Disabilities Act, work crews will redesign the sidewalks and entrances at City Hall to make it easier for the disabled to get around. The plan was approved recently by the City Council. The improvements, expected to be completed next month, include new ramps from the Civic Center parking lot to the first floor of City Hall. About $166,247 for the project will come from the city’s Police Helicopter Program, and $68,272 will come from the Community Development Block Grant fund.
