Man Nearly Loses Nose in Marital Fight

A pregnant woman who suspected her husband of having an extramarital affair attacked him and nearly sliced off his nose with a pair of scissors, the Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.

Susie Jamison, 26, was arrested and booked on charges of mayhem and felony assault. She remains in Orange County Jail.

Her husband, John Jamison, 25, was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where doctors worked to reattach his nose. He was discharged Thursday.

Deputies were called at noon Wednesday to Beach West Inn, 15401 Beach Blvd. in Midway City, where the couple had been living, said sheriff’s Lt. Colin Murphy.

The couple’s dispute apparently became violent after Susie Jamison, about eight months’ pregnant, accused her husband of cheating on her, sheriff’s deputies were told.

“She stabbed him with the scissors. His nose was almost completely severed,” said Murphy.
