Computer’s Place Now in Kitchen

A debate among home designers today is where to place the home computer. Where is the best location for maximum use by the family?
The answer, according to many designers, is in the kitchen. In today’s modern home design, the kitchen is the heart of the home; the central gathering place. What better place to put the home computer? The built-in home computer center here is next to the busy section of the kitchen, not in the way of traffic.
One obvious use for the kitchen computer is to access recipes, especially with the many cooking-related Web sites that are now available. Other important reasons for placing the computer in the kitchen: You’ll be nearby as the kids do homework, available to answer questions. And, as they surf the Internet, you’ll be there to supervise.
