The state facility building fund, provided by Proposition 1A, has provided $11.1 million to the Tustin Unified School District. The district will use the money to help pay for the construction of the new Pioneer Middle School, which will open to Tustin Ranch students in grades six through eight in September. The 90,500-square-foot facility sits on a 20-acre parcel and cost about $28 million.
