Espadas Seeking 10th Straight Win

Featherweight Guty Espadas of Merida, Mexico, will try to stretch his winning streak to 10 tonight at the Arrowhead Pond against Prangky Mamuaya of Indonesia in the 10-round main event.

Espadas (29-2, 19 knockouts) is ranked fourth by the World Boxing Council. Mamuaya (20-6-1, 10 knockouts) is the former Indonesian champion.

In the co-main event, junior featherweights Isreal Vazquez (20-2, 16 knockouts) of Mexico City takes on Nelson Medina (24-15-2) of Venezuela. Vazquez had an 11-fight winning streak stopped in March by Westminster’s Marcos Licona, who took a majority decision from Vazquez. The six-bout card begins at 7:15 p.m.
