Amwest Posts $2 Million Profit for 2nd Quarter

Amwest Insurance Group Inc., Calabasas, reported that net income increased to nearly $2 million for the second quarter ended June 30, from $975,000 for the same period last year. Revenue increased slightly to $30.5 million over $30.3 million.
Amwest is an insurance holding company underwriting surety and property and casualty insurance through Amwest Surety Insurance Co., Condor Insurance Co. and Far West Insurance Co.
