LAGUNA WOODS

Supervisor Tom Wilson will be holding a brown-bag lunch and chat at Leisure World on Wednesday. The informal meeting is open to all residents and neighbors of Laguna Woods. Attendees are welcome to bring up any issues, concerns or questions with the supervisor.
One staff member said Wilson expects most of the discussions to be around the proposed construction of a commercial airport at the former El Toro Marine base. Laguna Woods residents are overwhelmingly opposed to the creation of a commercial airport because of potential noise and pollution.
Wilson, whose district includes Laguna Woods, is also against a commercial airport at the site.
The meeting is from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Leisure World’s Administration Building Board Room, 23522 Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Woods.
