* Intimate Brands Inc. said its fiscal second-quarter profit rose 17% to $85.8 million, or 34 cents a share, matching estimates, on sales of new products and improved control over inventory. The operator of the Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works stores said sales for the period ended July 31 grew 16% to $1.02 billion.
