In a show of community solidarity, three diverse organizations will join to protest violence against children in response to this week’s shooting at the North Valley Jewish Community Center.
The San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council, the San Fernando Valley Branch of the NAACP and Em Habanim, a West Hills synagogue, are coordinating a march against violence Aug. 22 at 2 p.m., organizers said.
The march will begin at Em Habanim, 7533 Fallbrook Ave., and continue to the West Valley Jewish Community Center, 22622 Vanowen St., said Jacques Hay of Em Habanim.
At the community center, leaders from various congregations will call for an end to violence and a spiritual renewal among Valley residents.
For information, call Hay at (818) 349-3932.
