In response to complaints about noise, the City Council may consider an ordinance that would limit the hours available for construction work, repairs, remodeling and grading. The ordinance calls for allowing commercial and yard maintenance between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays and between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Maintenance on yards is the only type of work allowed on Sundays and federal holidays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. A public hearing will be scheduled before the City Council votes Sept. 13.
